NME Awards
Our client an industry leading production director & award winning studio, were tasked with the return of The NME Awards to London’s O2 Brixton Academy - celebrating the very best musical talent, with live performances from AJ Tracey, FKA Twigs, rising stars Yungblud and Beadadoobee, a collaboration between rapper Slowthai and Mura Masa, and an epic closing set by The 1975. The highlight of the evening was an surprise award winner in the shape of songstress Taylor Swift.

Production Director says:
Just wanted to express my thanks for all of your hard work in both pre-production and on-site delivery. Excellent service all round, sending my personal thanks and gratitude on behalf of all here. Very much look forward to working with you all again soon.
How we created the set...
We were given a brief to provide a uniquely innovative deconstructed LED screen build, and to deliver the entire video production from custom led rigging right through to content delivery alongside our control brand Graymatter Video. IMAG Displays, was tasked with delivering the screen requirements, which included coordination of content for 35 awards and the multiple live performances.
Delivering a successful project...
The large-scale design involved multiple LED panels, staggered stage left and right in step fashion, which proved a big challenge requiring carefully balanced weight load and rigging from the roof. Work on the project began with design drawings, weight calculations and content maps. The concept phase took approximately a month of planning, followed by multiple site visits and production meetings. A lot of people said what we were attempting wasn't possible but, with the team assembled, we did it.
