Victorious Festival 2025

Delivering Seamless Large-Scale Visuals for 180,000+ Festival-Goers

Victorious Festival 2025 took over Southsea Common with sun-drenched crowds, unforgettable headline acts, and an electrifying atmosphere that reminded us why live events matter. With over 180,000 people in attendance, and Vampire Weekend, Kings of Leon and Queens of the Stone Age headlining the main stages, expectations were high. As returning video production partners for the eighth consecutive year, we were trusted once again to deliver LED screens, control and cameras for both main stages, as well as relay screens site-wide. Victorious is more than a festival. It’s a celebration of culture, community, and creativity. And iMAG’s role? To make sure every pixel, every angle, and every moment felt legendary.

The Challenge:

Victorious Festival welcomes more than 180,000 people to Southsea Common for three days of music and celebration. With headliners of the calibre of Kings of Leon and Vampire Weekend, as well as music legends such as Madness, Scouting for Girls, and Rizzle Kicks taking to the stage, organisers needed a video solution that could match the scale and energy of the performances.

The challenge was to deliver a complete LED and live video package across both main stages. Screens needed to remain bright and crystal clear in bright sunlight, while also achieving rich contrast for late-night encores. The organisers required a 4K multi-camera relay system to capture every performance moment and translate it seamlessly to large-scale IMAG screens. Playback control had to be managed with total reliability, and the installation schedule demanded rapid build and de-rig to keep pace with the festival’s demanding production timeline. Above all, the solution had to run flawlessly throughout the weekend, ensuring the visuals enhanced the experience for every single audience member.

The Solution

On the Common Stage, we delivered two 7m x 10m ROE Visual Black Quartz BQ4 LED relay screens, positioned on either side of the stage for audience IMAG coverage. On stage, a 9m x 5m BQ4 LED wall provided dynamic visuals and artist content, enhancing the production design. We also supplied all rigging for the relay and stage screens, ensuring rapid, safe installation within the festival’s demanding build schedule.

The Castle Stage featured a different configuration tailored to its performance environment. A ROE Visual Magic Cube 5 LED wall measuring 8.4m x 4.2m formed the main stage screen, supported by a 7.5m x 5m ROE Visual Black Quartz 3 relay screen for enhanced audience visibility.

Both stages were supported by broadcast-grade multi-camera packages and on-site portable production units (PPUs), ensuring high-quality coverage throughout. For media playback and signal management, we deployed Disguise gx2c media servers, providing precise control and cueing. Playback was integrated using an Analog Way Aquilon RS4 and a Barco E2 Gen 2 screen management system, enabling seamless switching, content layering, and advanced transitions across all outputs.

Every element, from LED panels and processors to cameras and signal distribution, was designed, installed, and operated by our in-house team and our sister brand Graymatter Video. Together, we ensured consistent delivery across both stages, with redundancy and contingency built into every workflow.

The Result

Victorious Festival 2025 was a resounding success. Across three days, iMAG’s video systems ran seamlessly, delivering crystal-clear, dynamic stage visuals that amplified every performance. The Common Stage BQ4 relays and LED wall ensured headliners connected with the full audience, while the Castle Stage’s MC5 and BQ3 screens brought equal impact to its performances. With broadcast-grade camera packages and advanced control systems, the festival enjoyed flawless video delivery that elevated the atmosphere and reinforced its reputation as one of the UK’s premier live music events.

You can have the best kit in the world, the slickest pitch deck, and a glittering showreel, but if you don’t understand what your clients really need when the pressure’s on, you’ll never be their first call again. After more than twelve years working across the creative, brand, and production landscape, the iMAG team has been in hundreds of briefing conversations. And while every project, client, and budget brings its own personality, one thing is consistent: there’s almost always more going on beneath the surface. Here’s what they rarely say out loud, but actually really want from their AV partner. 1. “Make me look good to my client.” Whether you’re working with a producer, a creative agency, or even an internal comms team, there's usually another layer above them. A brand director. A Head of Production. A CMO. What they want isn’t just technical brilliance (though that’s always a non-negotiable). They want you to make them look like the hero. That means calm in chaos, fast fixes, respectful collaboration, and no surprises on site. At iMAG, we get that. We operate like an extension of your team - invisible when needed, front-footed when it counts.
